Instagram Soon to Enable Sharing User Profiles in Stories

Instagram, the widely-used audio and video sharing platform owned by Meta, is set to roll out an innovative feature designed to enhance user engagement and support content creators. This forthcoming update, as revealed by renowned tipster Alessandro Paluzzi on X (formerly Twitter), will allow users to share profiles of others directly in their stories.

This new feature will showcase the selected profile’s first three posts along with the profile name and bio, offering a comprehensive glimpse into the creator’s content. Modeled after the existing ‘Add to Story’ option, this addition aims to simplify the process of giving a shoutout to favorite creators and influencers.

A key component of this feature is the ‘view profile’ button, which provides an easy pathway for viewers to directly access the shared profiles. This is particularly beneficial for emerging creators seeking to expand their reach and audience on the platform.

Profiles shared in stories will follow the standard 24-hour visibility window. As the feature is still under development, the exact launch date remains unspecified.

Instagram’s commitment to constant innovation is evident in its recent string of updates, including the ability to download reels and the introduction of an AI-driven custom sticker creator, further solidifying its position as a dynamic social media platform.
