Apple has officially announced the release date for its much-anticipated Vision Pro headset: February 2. This groundbreaking VR/AR device is poised to make a significant impact in the tech world. Pre-orders in the US will open on January 19, with the headset priced at $3,499 for the 256GB version. Additionally, Apple is offering reading glasses inserts for $99 and prescription lens inserts for $149, accommodating users with different vision needs.

The launch date, strategically announced during CES in Las Vegas, underscores Apple’s commitment to leading the charge in the era of spatial computing. Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, described the Vision Pro as “the most advanced consumer electronics device ever created.”

Apple’s Vision Pro is not just a standalone device but integrates seamlessly with over 1 million existing iOS and iPadOS apps. It will also have its own dedicated app store for VR/AR-specific applications. The headset promises to offer unique experiences, including new spatial games like Game Room, What the Golf?, and Super Fruit Ninja.

While Apple has not provided specific delivery details, they have confirmed that in-store demos will be available from the launch date, allowing customers to experience the Vision Pro firsthand.
