Meta has expanded its cross-posting capabilities to include Threads, its Twitter alternative, alongside Facebook and Instagram. Now available on both Android and iOS, users can easily share content across all three platforms.
On Facebook, simply prepare a post, and you’ll see an option to cross-post to Threads before sharing. Instagram users can activate automatic sharing to Threads in the Advanced settings while creating a post.
However, it’s important to note that not all elements transfer between platforms—Instagram captions will become Threads text, and hashtags will turn into plain text. Videos and Reels are not eligible for cross-posting.
This move is part of Meta’s broader strategy to grow Threads, which recently surpassed 200 million users. While Meta aims to reach 1 billion users, they acknowledge it may take years to achieve this milestone.
