An ongoing investigation discovered that auto thieves utilize Airtags to track the whereabouts of a target vehicle in order to eventually locate and steal it.
The device is hidden in trailer hitches, bumpers, and other difficult-to-access areas on cars. It only warns between eight and twenty-four hours after being separated from the Airtags owner, giving auto thieves plenty of time to plot the ideal location and timing to take the cars.
Car thieves are everywhere so be more careful and vigilant.
