Key figures involved include Apple’s VP of Hardware Engineering and its Senior Director of Home Hardware Engineering. These projects are being spearheaded by both the hardware engineering and AI & machine learning divisions of Apple.
Apple appears to be ramping up its AI and robotics efforts, evident in its hiring for various robotics roles. The company’s interest in home robots may be a logical step following the discontinuation of its electric vehicle project.
