Microsoft has issued a new Windows 11 build for all Windows Insiders that will install the Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22557, which is now available in the Dev Channel, with a comprehensive list of enhancements and fixes for known problems.
The Company has noted that “Similar to Windows 11 Home edition, Windows 11 Pro edition now requires internet connectivity. If you choose to set up a device for personal use, MSA will be required for setup as well. You can expect a Microsoft Account to be required in subsequent WIP flights.â€
This means you can’t work offline and must establish an account and enter personal information in order to run the operating system. In contrast to before, you may skip this step and just establish an offline profile for your privacy.
This creates worries and questions for customers, such as why they need an internet connection and the creation of an account which provides many personal details before they can use their purchased new operating system.
Same as with other tech giants, update by update privacy is being stripped away from the consumers taking advantage of their lack of tech savviness to mine as much data as possible.
Other updates:
Drag and Drop Support to the taskbar, which enables users to drag and drop files between programs by simply hovering the mouse over their taskbar icons.
In terms of restoring old features, they have also included the folder thumbnail preview function to the Windows 11 File Explorer, which restores content previews for folders.
