Google is set to simplify workplace video creation with the launch of Google Vids, an upcoming addition to Google Workspace. Powered by Gemini AI, Vids sets itself apart from text-only video generators. It can use existing documents, images, and videos to automatically generate a storyboard and script for your presentation.
Vids streamlines the process, allowing users to easily customize their videos with music and either use an AI-generated voiceover or record their own. Think of it as an AI-powered evolution of classic PowerPoint presentations.
“We’re bringing the same magic of real-time collaboration to video,” said Aparna Pappu, GM and VP of Google Workspace.
Primarily targeting workplace needs, Vids is ideal for tasks like employee onboarding videos, sales pitches, and board meeting presentations.
