Instagram acknowledges in a Twitter post that technical difficulties have caused some users to be unable to use the photo-sharing platform.

During the peak of the outage, Downdetector, a site that tracks outages, recorded over 53,000 occurrences of users being unable to access Instagram. Numerous people have also provided feedback on the platform regarding the concerns.
As of today, Instagram has been able to fix the problem for the majority of users following the global outage, stating that an hour-long technical issue has been resolved.
