Hacker Selling 160GB Stolen Acer Confidential Data

Acer, a Taiwanese computer manufacturer, has been breached; the hacker claims to have stolen confidential data, including files from its products.

In a post titled “The leak contains a total of 160GB of 655 directories and 2,869 files,” the attacker is now selling the stolen files on a forum.

The stolen material is believed to include private presentations, product model documentation, and information concerning the Bios system used on their computer products.

Hacker is asking interested user to pay up in cryptocurrency and added “Honestly there’s so much s*** that it’ll take me days to go through the list of what was breached lol,”

Acer confirms that it suffered a breached: “We have recently detected an incident of unauthorized access to one of our document servers for repair technicians. While our investigation is ongoing, there is currently no indication that any consumer data was stored on that server,”
