Apple Plans to Add Touch Screens to Macbook Pro by 2025

Apple has yet to enter the market of laptops with touchscreen displays, but that may change now, since they aim to include it into the Macbook Pro in the 2025 launch.

As per  Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman,  “Apple is now at work on a new MacBook Pro for 2025 with a touch screen, I’m told. If all goes to plan, the company will then likely add touch to its other Macs.”

As we all know, most major computer manufacturers, including Microsoft, Alphabet Inc’s Google, Asus, and Dell, have long offered laptops with touch displays.

The two goals of Apples on adding touchscreen displays on their laptops is to unify the software and services on all of its devices and build on its share of the personal computer market.

Before, Apple has explicitly said that the idea of having touch displays on computers is bad and defended its decision not to install touch screens because it would be “ergonomically terrible,” while claiming that the macOS would not provide a pleasant touch experience anyhow.

Mark Gurman also notes that if all goes well, we may witness the first Apple Macbook Pro with a touch screen display.
