Elon Musk publicly polled Twitter followers on Sunday, asking if he should step down as CEO, and the people chose, with 57.5% saying yes. Will Musk resign?
Musk declared that he will “abide by the results of this poll.” when he weighed in on the poll results. As more individuals said “Yes,” Musk posted: “As the saying goes, be careful what you wish, as you might get it.”
So, who will be Twitter’s new CEO? According to Musk, who tweeted, “No one wants the job who can actually keep Twitter alive. There is no successor.”
In addition, the company has created a poll to prevent users from publishing links on other social networking sites. The initial outcome is a resounding “No” by an overwhelming 87%.
The poll came after Twitter suspended numerous accounts, including Mastodon, for breaking the new “Doxxing” policy. They also ban posting any link to the Social networking site.
Let’s see how this plays out. Will Musk listen to the people and step down, or will this just be a poll to determine if people like him or not?
