Twitch Finally Banning All Unlicensed Gambling Websites to Stream on the Platform

Online Gambling

The streaming company has finally decided to ban all unlicensed gambling sites on streaming in the platform after growing concerns from its users.

Twitch announced a new policy for streaming gambling content on its platform, such as sharing links or referral codes to sites that provide slots, roulette, or dice games. Twitch did state that “some users have circumvented those rules and exposed our community to potential harm.”

The streaming platform will no longer permit streamers to stream gambling sites offering slots, roulette, or dice games by October 18. However, this will only apply to unlicensed gambling sites. Other regulated gambling sites will continue to be permitted on Twitch.

Twitch will continue to allow sports betting, fantasy sports, and poker streams on its platform even after the expected rule changes.
