Google has added a feature called “Clear Calling” in Android 13 Beta which reduces the background noise during calls on most mobile networks.
The new feature was discovered in the Android 13 QPR1 Beta 1 build by Mishaal Rahman:
The feature was not present in the beta version, but Rahman was able to manually enable it. It promises to reduce background noise during calls on most mobile networks, but not on Wi-Fi calls.
If Clear Calling makes it beyond beta testing and into the final release, it will be available on the Sound & vibration settings page. The new feature also states that no data from your call will be sent to Google.
The Android 13 QPR1 Beta 1 update is now available for Pixel phones, although as previously stated, the Clear Calling feature is not yet accessible. We are also looking forward to this feature, which will be quite useful during phone calls in crowded areas.
