This week, Spotify extended their Premium free trial to three months in over 135 regions across the globe until September 11 and provided an option to anybody who canceled a premium subscription before July 15.
The company described this promotion as a “pick-me-up to get you through the autumn and cooler days ahead.” The Extended free trial is accessible to new or eligible users of the free plan until Sept. 11.
For subscribers who cancel their premium subscriptions prior to July 15, Spotify is offering a “welcome back” promo that offers them three months of premium access for only $9.99. Users will always have the opportunity to end their trial period prior to the start of premium costs.
The Individual Premium plan costs around $9.99 per month and includes ad-free music and podcasts, unlimited skips, and the ability to download and play music offline.
This is an excellent marketing technique for Spotify, which may encourage more consumers to sign up for their Premium streaming services.
