ByteDance Recently Applied “TIKTOK MUSIC” Trademark

TikTok Music

ByteDance, the company that created the most famous video sharing app, TikTok, has applied for a trademark application for “TikTok Music,” which offers various goods and services, including “purchase, play, share, [and] download music, songs, albums, [and] lyrics.”

According to Insider, ByteDance has applied for two trademarks, the first in Australia in November last year and the second in the United States in early May.

While the company has not yet made any announcements regarding the aforementioned TikTok Music, it is obvious that they may have plans to create their own music streaming service in order to compete against Spotify, Apple Music, and other music streaming services.

It is reported that users may generate and manage digital content such as music, photos, and videos. The company has also hinted at a “Karaoke Function,” which is popular in Asian nations.

Whatever ByteDance plans, it will have a significant influence on users and other businesses since they are very good at promoting their services.
