Selected users now have access to a new Instagram Pinned Post feature, which allows them to pin specific posts to their profile. Users who have access to the functionality will see a “Pin to your profile” option in the three-dot menu next to postings.
In the report published by TechCrunch, a Meta spokesman stated via email:
“We’re testing a new feature that lets people feature posts on their profile,”
Businesses and other accounts may find the feature highly useful, as they may utilize it to showcase their services on a post or an specific post that is valuable to their customers.
Alessandro Paluzzi, a mobile app developer and reverse engineer, was the first to notice this feature back in January.
Instagram’s pinning feature is not new, since the ability to Pin Stories is already accessible. These improvements, however, might be a great addition for content creators who update frequently and wish to emphasize important posts.
You may check your Instagram to see whether you have this test feature, but keep in mind that it is only available to a selected group of users, so don’t expect too much.
